Sacrafice

I have often been asked why I do what I do? Why take on the responsibility of being ‘father’ to so many orphaned/at risk or otherwise disadvantaged children?
I have been criticized, I have been discussed and at time humiliated and sarcastically mocked for following my dream of giving children a chance at making better choices.

The past month, I took some of the kids to the MuscleMania SA Champs and the Mr & Ms SA Fitness Championships in Cape Town.

We came back with 1 SA MuscleMania Novice Champion, a 3rd in Mr Physique and every other member of our small team of 5 making it through to the finals.

The accomplishment is not that they all did so well. What they accomplished was showing all, commitment, correct choices, sacrifice and above all believe can take you to the highest heights.

Returning to my opening question? I think it can best be answered by one of the greatest orators and humanitarians, Martin Luther King Jr – The first question which the priest and the Levite asked was: ‘If I stop to help this man, what will happen to me?’ But…the good Samaritan reversed the question: ‘If I do not stop to help this man, what will happen to him?
