Proverbs Chapter 13, verse 20:
He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.
Before entering a relationship, any relationship, be it girlfriend/boyfriend or friendships, it’s always best to get to know each other first, no matter what your heart, brain or your hormones want you to do. You need to know exactly who you are sharing your world with. Most of the time they don’t deserve it.
They need to know who you are and what you’re about. And you definitely need to know them and what makes them who they are and if they deserve even two seconds of your precious life.
The concepts of love, loyalty, communication and compassion are foreign in our throw away society were relationships are like most modern things, disposable. People get ‘friended’, ‘liked’ and ‘unliked’ in a matter of seconds with no regard to what the emotions the person on the receiving end of the ‘mouse click’ is going through.
I think there is room for old fashioned values in our modern world, let’s try bringing these back into our lives.
