Today was interesting, one of the children I train, came up with the topic for the day. At time we as parents are to controlling, and instead of coming across as loving, we come across as monsters. We need to love our children unconditionally; don’t force them to be who you think they should be in order to earn your love. Let them know that you will always love them no matter what. Do not constantly ask them if they love you, show them and tell them daily you love them. Constantly asking them if they love you, puts a lot of pressure on the child and makes them question and jusdge themselves unnecessary.
Coming back to yesterday, life is a great teacher. Don’t be too quick to rescue your child from the results of their own actions if the consequences are not overly severe. Sometimes they need to bump their to remember in future to duck.
